Ouro Circularity Corporation (“Ouro,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Ouro Destruction mobile application (the “App”), which enables recyclers and partner facilities to document and verify product destruction and materials processing operations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information from users of the App.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

To access the App, users must have an account provisioned by Ouro. We collect and store:

  • Email address

  • Company name

  • User identifier (assigned internally)

Accounts are created manually by our support team following a verified access request from your organization.

b. Operational Data

When you log a destruction event in the App, we may collect and store:

  • Photos and videos captured through the device camera (not from the photo library)

  • Facility names and descriptions

  • General site/location context, such as the facility or yard where the destruction occurs (we do not capture GPS coordinates)

  • Material and object details (e.g., type, quantity, associated truck or container)

  • Timestamps and workflow status of the destruction or processing event

This information is submitted by authorized users as part of normal product destruction and material tracking workflows.

c. Diagnostic and Technical Data

We collect limited diagnostic and performance data to maintain and improve the App. This includes anonymized analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring through third-party services such as Datadog, Expo, and Supabase. These logs may include device or session identifiers and technical information about errors, but are not used to personally identify individual users.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App’s functionality

  • Create and maintain chain-of-custody and destruction records

  • Generate destruction and compliance reports for authorized companies

  • Support analytics on product destruction outcomes

  • Authenticate and support authorized users

We do not sell, rent, or use your information for advertising.

3. Sharing of Information

We share information only in the following cases:

  • With your authorized partners: Data may be shared with partner companies explicitly whitelisted by your organization, and only for relevant materials, orders, or transactions.

  • With service providers: We use Supabase for authentication, file storage, and database services, and Datadog for anonymized diagnostics and performance monitoring. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate security measures.

  • When required by law: We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with an applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We do not share user data with unrelated third parties for marketing or other commercial resale purposes.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account information, destruction records, media files, and related operational data until a deletion request is received and verified.

You or your organization may request deletion of your data by contacting us at privacy@ouroplastic.com. Upon a verified request, Ouro will permanently delete the user’s account and all associated data, including photos, videos, and operational records stored in Supabase.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit and at rest. All communication between the App and our services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Stored files and database records are encrypted by our cloud service providers, including Supabase. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard information within our control.

6. User Rights and Access

You may request:

  • Access to the information we maintain about you

  • Corrections to that information

  • Deletion of your information

  • Changes to which partner companies are authorized to view data associated with your activity

To exercise these rights, email privacy@ouroplastic.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended solely for use by adults working in commercial or industrial recycling, logistics, and destruction operations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete that information promptly.

8. Geographic Scope

The App is currently intended for users located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. The most current version of this Privacy Policy will always be available at https://ourocircularity.com/privacy.
